Welcome to TK20 at Occidental College!
TK20 is the comprehensive software system which we use for assessment planning and reporting, strategic planning and reporting, program reviews, course based assessment, and accreditation related work at Oxy. Every aspect of assessment can be tracked: planning; assessing; and then reporting the information.
TK20 streamlines information gathering and serves as a centralized document repository accessible from both on and off-campus.
Some TK20 features are listed below:
Assessment Planning
- Specify outcomes and objectives for departments, units, and programs
- Assess activities of all academic and non-academic departments
- Align organization with regional or programmatic accreditation requirements
- Tie data collected from students, faculty, and programs directly to outcomes
- Map curricula to program goals and course outcomes
Strategic Planning
- Track action items by unit
- Monitor associated budget requests
- Review milestones throughout planning cycles
- Manage financial planning proactively
Data Collection
Tailored, complete collection of data across all of our systems simplifies direct and indirect assessments across campus.
Direct assessments to manage:
- Institutional effectiveness and alignment with accreditation requirements
- Student learning at unit, course, and program levels
- Experiential learning (e.g., field placements, internships, and clinical practice)
- Candidate evaluations, applications, admissions, and transition points
Indirect assessments to monitor:
- Surveys from students, graduates, faculty, other internal constituents, and external stakeholders
- Course evaluations for faculty and staff across all programs and units on campus
